With the cost of home heating oil and natural gas skyrocketing, more and more homeowners are making the switch to the most energy efficient, environmentally friendly, and cost-effective way to heat and cool their homes - a geothermal heating and cooling system.

Compared to conventional heating & cooling systems, homeowners can save 30% to 70% in the heating mode, and 20% to 50% in the cooling mode with a Geothermal system.   In addition, geothermal systems generate no on-site emissions and help to reduce America's reliance on foreign oil and fossil fuels.

Geothermal systems consist of a Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP), which uses the Earth's relatively constant temperature below the frost line to provide heating, cooling, and hot water for homes and commercial buildings.

Water Well Systems Inc. has three installers who are accredited by the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA). To ensure that the system is properly installed, we strongly recommend that geothermal systems be installed only by IGSHPA-Accredited installers. (Click Here to find IGSHPA Accredited Installers)

Note:  There are a number of contractors who install Geothermal Systems who have no formal training or accreditation.

Always Choose an IGSHPA Accredited Installer!

Currently, there is no state licensing procedure for geothermal system installers in Rhode Island or Massachusetts.

Choosing an installer who is IGSHPA-Accredited will assure that your geothermal system will be installed properly and will operate at its maximum efficiency.
